WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Might Return
3. To Win The Royal Rumble Match
As farfetched as it may sound, the most objective reason The Undertaker would return at the Royal Rumble was to win it. Taker's physical state aside, to see him climb the proverbial mountain for a second time would be mind boggling and could crash the WWE Network due to the millions of subscriptions that would happen as a result. After numerous failed attempts, and that infamous elimination by Tough Enough's Maven, Taker finally won the Rumble in 2007 when he overcame long time rival Shawn Michaels. The Phenom and The Heartbreak Kid were the last two competitors left in 2007's event and after each man hit their respective finisher, Taker eliminated Michaels after dodging an attempted Sweet Chin Music. Surprisingly, The Undertaker became the first competitor to win the Rumble match after entering at number 30. To have him win this year's match would be the ultimate fantasy booking moment, something that could never be repeated. This would obviously set up a championship match at WrestleMania. If Mania XXX wasn't Taker's farewell to WWE, than a defeat in the main event would be the way to bow out. The permanent departure of a superstar the magnitude of The Undertaker needs to be the top moment of the show, the closing scene that sticks in your mind forever.
