We dont even know if Triple H is going to be entered in the Royal Rumble, and it's been years since hes competed in the event. But if he was going to enter, it would actually make sense for him to do so, at least from a storyline perspective. Hes in the middle of a feud with Reigns and tosses his hat into the ring as a failsafe to ensure that Roman doesnt leave the pay-per-view with the title. He would obviously stack the deck in his favor late entry, warnings to the roster beforehand abut job safety, etc. so that his eventual victory would look less like a dominant win and be more based on typical McMahon family shenanigans. Its not that I necessarily think Triple H should be the champion at this stage of his career, but with the talent roster ravaged by injuries and Roman Reigns the obvious choice to headline 'Mana, it just makes sense that hed enter as a challenger rather than champion. If WWE sticks with the angle theyve been running, Reigns vs. The Game is a money match that they absolutely should book for the show, and putting the title on the line is a good way to create the extra buzz that the bout would need. How Id Book It: Sledgehammers, slaps from Stephanie and tons of cheating. This one needs to be anything but clean.
