WWE Royal Rumble 2016: 10 Things We Learned

8. The New Day Are Still Tag Champs

Once more, The New Day escape another WWE pay-per-view with the Tag Team titles still around their waists. The 3-man 'Fabulous Freebird' style gimmick works for Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods, so there should be no rush to remove the titles any time soon. The big question may be what the future holds for The Usos. There's a chance that WWE will want to book more matches between the tandems, and it has to be said that they definitely work well together. Previously, it may have made sense to give The Usos a crack with the belts, but there's not a team more entertaining than New Day in the entire company right now. Whilst they're hot, they may as well remain champs. The Usos vs. The New Day was a fine 11-minute match at the Royal Rumble, and it had a sweet finish involving Big E. Maybe the creative team will transition the heels into a new rivalry, or The Uso programme could continue through to Fast Lane. Their Rumble match had a definitive finish though, so there's not much for the babyfaces to contend.
