3. Some Fan Fears About AJ Styles In WWE May Ring True
AJ Styles was treated very well during his World Wrestling Entertainment debut. Some may have been watching through cracks in their fingers when he emerged as #3 to challenge Roman Reigns. The 'Big Dog' had just eliminated Rusev in quick fashion, so a fair few supporters may have been predicting that AJ wouldn't fare too well against the recipient of the WWE hype machine. Instead of succumbing quickly to Reigns, Styles looked competitive for the entire period he was in the ring. Eventually, he was thrown out of the match by Kevin Owens, which might suggest where the ex-TNA performer is heading next in WWE. Owens still has ongoing issues with Dean Ambrose, but there's no reason why he can't then feud with AJ. That said, it did come across a little that Styles won't be a headline star in WWE. Obviously, that may be jumping the gun a little. The Rumble was his first night in the company, but it does seem he has a glass ceiling to crack if he has any intention of headlining shows. That's ok, Styles is a talented enough performer to make the most of even small scraps of attention, he'll thrive no matter what he's handed.
