Wanna freshen up the Royal Rumble AND spike some interest in Raw? What about putting the NXT Champion over on Sunday, have him walk into Raw on Monday and have a main event match against Brock Lesnar for Balor's shot at WrestleMania glory. What about also coordinating coverage of all of this with ESPN, USA Today, and the Today Show, too. As crazy as it sounds, WWE can and should consider this option. Finn Balor's a terrific talent and a skilled enough veteran to pull off working as an underdog babyface in a battle royal. He ducks a clothesline attempt from Harper and Strowman and they sail over the top, He's believed to be chokeslammed over the top by the Big Show, but finds a way to keep both feet from hitting the floor. He leaps over a Roman Reigns spear. There's definitely a way to turn Balor from NXT Champion to Last Action Hero in one match, and this is that match. Of course, you end the Rumble with Brock and Paul walking out and with a staredown between Balor and Lesnar, because Brock wants to go to WrestleMania. The Raw main event that'd follow would be fun, give Brock a fresh opponent, and in Brock winning an actual nail-biter would put over Balor and NXT a bit more, too. It's an idea worth considering.
