WWE Royal Rumble 2016: 5 Reasons To Be Fearful

5. The Undercard Is Light On Announcements

The 2016 Royal Rumble pay-per-view just over one week away, and WWE have announced a scant two matches thus far for the event. Obviously, the 30-man Rumble match itself takes precedent, especially considering the WWE World Heavyweight Title will be on the line. There's been only one other scheduled collision that has been announced on television. Admittedly, Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens in a 'Last Man Standing' Match for the Intercontinental Title should be excellent, but there should really be more announcements at this point. WWE will clearly pad out the card with at least two or three other bouts, but they run the risk of appearing as afterthoughts before they even happen if the company don't tell fans about them soon. It makes sense to suggest that a WWE Divas Title match will occur, because the women are rarely entered into the Royal Rumble itself. Maybe WWE will have a Tag Team Title contest on the show too, but it's not a good sign that so little has officially been announced. WWE only have one more episode of Raw and Smackdown to create matches fans want to see, it's somewhat surprising that they haven't announced more matches sooner.
