The biggest potential main event for Royal Rumble 2017 is the one everyone's been talking about lately.

Sure, fans would love to see AJ Styles defend the WWE World Championship against Shawn Michaels, but assuming Shawn can't be coaxed back into the ring, what would be the next best thing? Or in the mind of many fans certainly, even better?

The Phenom vs. The Phenomenal One.

The Undertaker returned to SmackDown just prior to this year's Survivor Series and announced that WrestleMania will no longer define him and that he is back! While he hasn't appeared since and wasn't saying that he would be a regular fixture again on the Tuesday night brand, an appearance at the Royal Rumble would be the next logical step to back-up what he promised just a few weeks ago.

While a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble match is a possibility and, if done right, could work even better (imagine an Undertaker/Goldberg or Undertaker/Sting showdown), a one-on-one match against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship is sure to sell out the massive Alamodome. 'Taker vs. Styles in 2017 would go a long way towards making this year's Royal Rumble a truly special event.
