WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Potential Main Events

Back on Raw, WWE will probably want to get away from another Owens/Rollins match, but since Seth has yet to exact any true revenge on the reigning Universal Champ, WWE may choose for Owens to get his comeuppance another way.

Rather than dropping the Universal Championship to Rollins, WWE could opt to give Rollins a clean pinfall victory over Kevin inside of a tag match. Considering the nature of Monday Night Raw and it's over-reliance on tag team matches, it asks the following question: What tag match would be big enough to headline the 2017 Royal Rumble event in the 70,000+ seat Alamodome?

One with Triple H, of course.

With WWE relying on Triple H to carry the main event star power at WrestleMania 32, also having taken place in Texas, it'd be a logical decision for WWE to return to that well for their next dome show, also emanating from the Lone Star State. A pairing with The Game's protégé, Kevin Owens, as they battle 2/3 of the former Shield and former Triple H foes, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, could be just the spot Hunter needs to get back into ring shape in time for an assumed match at WrestleMania 33.
