WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Shocks That Could Happen

5. Number 10 - Tye Dillinger

Royal Rumble 2017
NXT

Just because something's obvious doesn't mean it can't still be shocking, right? Well, maybe it does, but this scenario seems like the perfect mixture of shock and sense.

Tye Dillinger has spent the better part of a decade in WWE's developmental system, and he's a great performer, but with his latest run, he finally managed to solve the hardest part of the puzzle: he's gotten over. With his current gimmick, Dillinger is a darling to NXT crowds, and now that he seems to have finished up his run with the brand, there's nothing left to do but see if his success can translate to the main roster.

They can hype him up with a lot of vignettes, have him named The Miz's next opponent, or let him run in and attack a major star, but it seems like the best way to debut "The Perfect 10" would be to have him enter the Royal Rumble at number 10. Fans already associate him with the number, and those who don't yet soon will. He can then ride that wave of momentum to a successful WWE run.
