WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Shocks That Could Happen

6. AJ Styles Beats John Cena

If Roman Reigns beating Kevin Owens is a foregone conclusion, John Cena beating AJ Styles seems to be written in stone. Cena made his return to Smackdown on last week's episode, immediately announcing that he would be challenging the WWE World Champion at WrestleMania. To many viewers, that signaled a direct path to Cena becoming champion and defending the title against The Undertaker in a WrestleMania dream match.

With the event being held in a stadium, WWE will undoubtedly want something important to happen, and Cena's 16th world championship win qualifies. Still, it'll be sad to see the end of the road for Styles, who has done such great things (and scored three victories over Cena) over the last year. Maybe it would be an appropriate shock to see "The Phenomenal One" actually escape the Royal Rumble with his belt in hand?

There are a few paths WWE could take from there - Cena could capture the title between the Rumble and WrestleMania, or he and Undertaker can have a non-title match. Heck, maybe Styles versus Undertaker could headline - that'd certainly be something to see.
