WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Superstars Who Have A Realistic Shot Of Winning

8. Triple H

Were it any other part-timer, I'd say there's no way WWE will give the prestigious Royal Rumble win to a semi-retired, non-regular talent for the second year in a row. Being that this is Triple H, however, all bets are off.

After all, it was The Game who, at 46 years old, headlined the largest WrestleMania in WWE history as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. To set up that match against Roman Reigns, Hunter returned to the ring at last year's Royal Rumble and won it all. For 2017, The Game seems headed towards another marquee 'Mania match, this time against Reigns' former Shield-buddy, Seth Rollins.

Considering Triple H's status in the company, it cannot be ruled out that WWE may opt to put The Game back in the Royal Rumble and have him win it again. Especially if, as mentioned earlier, Rollins is in the match as one of the final Raw participants, what better way to re-ignite their rivalry than to have Hunter be the one to eliminate him?

There's a number of ways WWE can go with this year's Rumble match, but considering the company's history of relying on the 14-time world champion, come January 29, it may be time to play The Game one more time.
