WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Superstars Who Have A Realistic Shot Of Winning

9. Seth Rollins

Considering the number of Universal Championship opportunities that Seth Rollins has had since SummerSlam, this one may be a bit head-scratching, but Rollins is in desperate need of rejuvenating his character.

Back in May, WWE had a super-hot babyface sitting on a powder keg just prior to Seth Rollins' return at Extreme Rules. Since then, WWE has booked Rollins so poorly that somehow, they managed to turn him into a lukewarm also-ran, struggling for crowd support. In order to bounce back, Rollins needs something big.

Winning the Royal Rumble could be just what the doctor ordered for The Architect. Considering WWE hasn't given Seth much help in terms of booking or character development since becoming a babyface, it may take a heel turn to get it done.

Regardless of how the storyline is to progress, Seth has to be considered a strong candidate for winning the 2017 Royal Rumble. His #1 draft pick status and lofty positioning among the rest of the Raw roster also doesn't hurt his chances.

He's nowhere near as hot as he could've or should've been coming out the gate in May, but he's still a top superstar and for that reason, Rollins takes the #9 spot.
