There's every chance Roman Reigns will topple Kevin Owens and become the new WWE Universal Champion at Royal Rumble. Everything is pointing towards that happening. There's surely a reason why those in charge booked Reigns to drop the United States Title to Chris Jericho several weeks ago.

On top of that, Y2J himself is locked in a shark cage that will be suspended above the ring. Therefore, he's theoretically unable to assist his best friend and help Owens hold onto the Universal strap. Note the wording there, 'theoretically'.

WWE have to know that beating a popular heel like KO is not the way to help Roman's plight as a top-level babyface.

It's too predictable to have Reigns drop one belt and gain another quickly; there needs to be some sort of journey back to the top titles in WWE. It'd be great to see Jericho find a way to aid Owens, especially considering the match is now No Disqualification.

The natural story heading into WrestleMania is that Finn Bálor returns to vanquish the cocky heel (Owens) and take back what he should never have lost. A Roman Reigns triumph spoils that.
