WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Things WWE Must Do
1. A Fresh Face Wins The Rumble Match
As we've noted, WWE look to have some big matches already pencilled in for WrestleMania 33, featuring big established names - Goldberg vs Lesnar, Owens vs Jericho, Triple H vs Rollins, Undertaker vs Cena - so why not think outside the box this year and have a new star win the Royal Rumble match?
As we stated earlier on this list, we want WWE to avoid falling back into old habits by having John Cena or Roman Reigns win in their respective title matches and that idea extends to the Royal Rumble match too. Neither Cena or Reigns should win the Rumble match, and neither should HHH or The Undertaker, ideally. After all, why have another established star win the Royal Rumble when it could be used as a way to elevate an up-and-coming superstar?
Winning the Royal Rumble is a huge milestone in a wrestler's career and it'd be a fantastic moment and a shocking end to the show if someone like Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, or Sami Zayn were to upset the odds and win the whole thing. The best option would be for a returning Finn Bálor to get the win, although that's obviously dependant on his injury status. We're hoping for the best.
