7. New Day Tension
The New Day had an incredible 2016, consistently being one of the most entertaining acts on the roster and breaking the WWE tag team title record of Demolition to become the longest reigning champs ever.
Now, however, it seems the act are destined for a split. Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have done all they can as a unit and the act is already in danger of becoming stale. All three guys now have the potential to go on and achieve solo success (WWE booking willing) and the Royal Rumble should be the first step on the journey towards the team members going their separate ways.
With all three confirmed as entrants in the Royal Rumble match, it would be the perfect opportunity for WWE to tease tension between the three and perhaps have one eliminate the other two members - Big E dumping out Kofi and Woods, for instance. While the group don't need to break up then and there, it would imply that the team are no longer united and allow the tease of a split for the following months.
