Credit where it's due, WWE did a lot of things right during the 2018 Royal Rumble. They also provided fans in Philadelphia with a few "I was there" moments too.

For example, who will forget seeing Ronda Rousey storm out to point at the WrestleMania sign and jump right in the thick of the Raw/SmackDown Women's Title picture? On that note, seeing the first ever female Rumble match live must have been a thrill.

Yes, the 2018 Rumble was WWE's best in the long-running annual series for a good few years. Every match felt worthwhile (some even exceeded expectations), surprises were ample but not too in-your-face, the right people won the right matches, and the 'Road To WrestleMania' was kicked off in style.

Following a dire Raw 25, WWE had some making up to do. On Sunday night, they rectified last Monday's indiscretions big time by putting on a Rumble to remember...
