Sorry, Kane, but you were only ever in the Universal Title Triple Threat so Brock Lesnar had someone to pin that wasn't named Braun Strowman. Keeping Strowman strong is in WWE's best interests, and it was obvious Kane would take the fall.

Now, Lesnar can focus on building to yet another 'Mania showdown with Roman Reigns, Braun can move onto something else (probably a match with The Miz for the Intercontinental Title) and Kane can swan back off into the world of politics. Booking Brock to pin Kane after an F-5 was the best outcome for all involved, and it made perfect sense.

The match itself was a relatively short sprint through Lesnar/Strowman's standard brawling work and table spots. Meanwhile, Kane kept pace with his more interesting opponents and can reflect on a job well done.
