WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Predicting 10 Biggest Spots

8. Balor Club Team Up

It's always fun when a group of allies temporarily abandon the Royal Rumble's 'every man for himself' principle and unite against the competition. A common trope, it usually results in one member of said alliance at least attempting to turn on another, having worked methodically to whittle the numbers down.

There's no guarantee we'll see it in Philly, but not for a lack of candidates. The New Day would work, as all three are already confirmed for the Rumble, but Balor Club makes more sense. Granted, Gallows and Anderson haven't been announced yet, but given that there's nothing for them to do elsewhere and the increased spotlight they've enjoyed since aligning with Finn, it's surely only a matter of time before they are.

After getting the rub from D-Generation X and Scott Hall at Raw 25, a strong team-up spot would be a great way to push Balor Club forward. They need credibility and momentum, and while none are among the list of likely winners, the trio deserve a spotlight. They'll band together mid-match, bundle a bunch of competitors over the top rope, then throw up a quick 'Too Sweet' for the Philly crowd.
