WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 10 Surprise Entrants We Could See

9. Nikki Cross

The so-called 'Twisted Sister Of NXT' (Dee Snider's lawyers are presumably still preparing their case) is already familiar to main roster audiences. She wrestled Becky Lynch out of the blue on a random episode of SmackDown last year, and recently tagged with Bayley and Natalya to face The Riott Squad on Raw.

She, along with the rest of NXT's incoming call-ups, will drift between main roster brands before eventually settling on a permanent home, suggesting WWE don't really know what they're doing with the newcomers. Regardless, given that Cross' Sanity brothers are on Tuesday nights, SmackDown seems like the most logical move.

Given that Nikki is already part of main roster canon but hasn't been announced for the women's Royal Rumble, she's a safe bet for a surprise spot. There are still over a dozen spaces to fill in that bout. WWE need extra bodies, and with Cross technically homeless on the main roster, she could enter as a free agent.

Whatever happens with Cross long-term, fans can almost certainly expect something zany, whacky, and out of control from the Scot on 27 January. That's kinda what she does.
