WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 10 Things We Learned

8. Sasha Banks Is Going Nowhere

The look on Sasha Banks' face as she embraced a victorious Ronda Rousey said it all.

This Raw Women's Title tilt has been another false dawn for Sasha. She, way more so than fellow 'Four Horsewomen' pals Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, has suffered to remain relevant over the past two years. Between her and Bayley (the other quarter of that Horsewomen collective), there's not a whole lot going on creatively.

Sunday was indicative of that plight. Banks looked legit fed up with her positioning within WWE, and being the latest sacrificial lamb for the untouchable Rousey was a sign of where she is right now. She's going nowhere despite being in the title hunt, and her brief flirtation with regaining relevance is now over.

It's a bit of an uphill battle to pitch Sasha roaring into 'Mania with something more to look forward to than the throwaway Battle Royal. In that respect then, she's like a female Rusev. Banks is an over star with zero direction.
