WWE Royal Rumble 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
3. Seth Rollins Ends Roman’s Reign
There's a ton of time between the Rumble and WrestleMania (63 days, to be exact, between Saturday's show and 'Mania's first night on 2 April). WWE could be tempted to pen a title change that "shakes things up" on SmackDown during that spell. It wouldn't be the first time.
Older fans will recall Chris Jericho bagging the old World Heavyweight Title from The Undertaker back at Elimination Chamber 2010. That altered the course of 'Mania plans, and fulfilled the quote of surprises that WWE so love at this time of year. Might Seth Rollins pull a Y2J on Roman?
It'd be a mistake, but don't rule it out.
Rollins may win the Universal Title at the Rumble then drop it back to Reigns in Saudi Arabia. The problem is that this would totally shatter Roman's record-setting title run before the biggest show of the year. Do WWE care about that? Maybe/maybe not.
