WWE Royal Rumble 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
4. Roman Reigns Goes Full-On Babyface
Oh dear.
It'd be a colossal error on WWE's part if they heard all the cheers and support for Roman Reigns when he does his "Acknowledge Me" bit and thought, 'Hey, the people love him - let's go babyface'. If that happened organically, then sure, but the way Roman carries himself shouldn't change.
His aloof, too cool for school presentation is killer, and it has been since he rocked back up as the 'Tribal Chief' a few summers ago. Still, one can't shake anxious thoughts that Reigns will suddenly turn into a chirpier soul who smiles at his own success and high-fives fans when he beats Seth Rollins on Saturday.
Brock Lesnar, who is surely Roman's natural opponent at 'Mania, is acting all zany and slightly heelish. Maybe Vince McMahon wants to try on Reigns as "heroic babyface champion" again and book him as a counterpoint to that. Nobody wants to see it. Leave him be! He's best as an ice cold, arrogant son of a bitch.
