WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
4. WWE Raw Women's Title: Becky Lynch (c) Vs. Doudrop
Result: Becky pins Doudrop after a Manhandle Slam to retain the strap (13:00).
Rating: Nobody in their right mind expected anything less than a Becky win, but there was at least the basic expectation for a solidly competitive bout that would help elevate Doudrop's standing in the company.
Yet this was ultimately a bit of a bore. Following the women's Rumble - which totally sucked the air out of the arena - did it no favours at all, and it didn't help that a good chunk of the crowd ended up being distracted by the melting WrestleMania sign.
Becky and Doudrop's in-ring chemistry wasn't quite there and their work therefore felt a bit clumsy and uneven.
We all knew where it was going, and it didn't even do a particularly compelling job of putting Doudrop over as a force to be reckoned with. She probably would've been better served as a Rumble entrant.
Major title matches shouldn't feel like PPV dead weight, but this absolutely did. 5/10
