WWE Royal Rumble 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. The Rock Gets Booed

Dave Meltzer's recent reports say The Rock won't be at the Rumble because he doesn't have time to get ring ready for 'Mania. Think about that: The Rock not being in shape. Sounds impossible - the dude's an absolute tank, but there is a difference between being gym ready and wrestling match ready.

It remains to be seen if people even want Rocky vs. Roman Reigns at this point anyway. 'The Great One' always seemed like he'd be Roman's final boss, but Reigns is more over than ever these days. He even gets cheered during a lot of his appearances, and his "*insert city* Acknowledge Me!" catchphrase is a guaranteed pop.

WWE and Dwayne Johnson could be in for a bit of a nasty surprise then. The Rock might end up getting booed like Reigns was back at the 2015 Rumble if he shows up, and that'd be a real buzzkill for everyone if that's the marquee selling point for this year's WrestleMania.

Wouldn't be the first time WWE fans have turned on The Rock though. Just saying!
