WWE Royal Rumble 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen

6. Roman Reigns Survives (Just!)

Here's another match that almost sneaked into title change territory. The thought of WWE taking that Undisputed gold from Roman Reigns before 'Mania XL seems borderline impossible though - he'll have been WWE Champ for two years come April, and that's before one gets to his epic Universal haul (four years come August 2024!).

This is why people make memes about Roman still being champ in 2054.

Things might be different if Randy Orton was Reigns' only opponent at the Rumble, but the four-way presentation suggests the challengers will screw things up for themselves and Roman will survive. One can see LA Knight and AJ Styles getting scrappy, thus leaving Orton ripe to take the fall so Paul Heyman can brag about it afterwards.

Triple H could be tempted to slap the green light on a brief break in Roman's lineage, but it'd be unnecessary to have him lose it here then win the thing back at Elimination Chamber. Nah, keep that biscuit tin-looking belt right where it is.
