WWE Royal Rumble 2026: 10 Surprise Entrants We Could See

1. Joe Hendry

It is hard to think of a talent that WWE seems to be unanimously behind as much as Scottish sensation, Joe Hendry. Appearing at WrestleMania 41 against a future Hall of Famer in Randy Orton while carrying the TNA World Championship, Hendry has now been officially confirmed as a part of the WWE roster. This is initially as part of NXT, but there's a strong suspicion that that is a temporary situation.

Hendry has one of the most iconic entrance themes in wrestling today. In a Rumble that is likely to be dominated by formulaic themes from the terminally terrible Def Rebel, Hendry's music hits like a right hand from Canelo Alvarez. It is tailor-made for the Royal Rumble, and could even be part of a wider road to WrestleMania.

Hendry was squashed by Randy Orton at last year's 'Showcase of the Immortals' in a move that was widely criticised. If Hendry can get his revenge on 'The Viper' in Riyadh, there's every chance that the two could have a more substantial match at this year's WrestleMania in Las Vegas. We can but hope that there is a long-term plan for that feud, but either way, Hendry is incredibly likely to make an even bigger impact in 2026. Look for that to start at the Royal Rumble.
