WWE’s 10 Worst Choke Artists

9. Bayley

Poor, poor Bayley.

As Asuka prepares to make the big move from NXT to the main roster, it is worth considering how dreadfully the 'Hugger' has been booked on Monday Night Raw before getting too excited about whatever carnage or chaos 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' may wish to unleash.

It wasn't that Bayley couldn't win big matches, because she proved in frustrating fashion against Charlotte Flair just how capable she was with best friend Sasha Banks by her side. But as fan sentiment gradually eroded in the wake of her morally questionable title match victories, WWE misread how close they were to losing fanbase affection altogether when they elected to have her lose decisively to Alexa Bliss on two consecutive pay-per-views.

Cynically having Bliss dethrone Bayley in the champion's hometown at April 2017's Payback, the company went one further the following month when they elected to have her baulk at the chance to claim her prized possession back in a Kendo-Stick-On-A-Pole match.

After a month of Alexa suggesting Bayley was just too nice to unleash fury with the weapon, the vengeful former champion pledged to have the fortitude required, but looked both a hypocrite and a fool when she failed to back up her words in the big match. And vociferous boos at even the site of her backstage at SummerSlam don't bode well for her return.
