WWE’s Vince McMahon Movie Script Review - 10 Things You Need To Know About Pandemonium
1. Mr. McMahon's Genesis
The script closes with a rushed rundown of Vince's post-trial story, and an alternate take on what transformed Vince into the 'Mr. McMahon' character in the '90s. In the film, Vince's adultery is exposed during the trial, and there's a limo scene afterwards in which the family rail against their patriarch and his numerous infidelities. They flip the script, however, and instead of disowning Vince, they tell him to use his misgivings as inspiration for the company's next big heel. Thus, Mr. McMahon was born through his courtroom exposure, and the Montreal Screwjob is ignored.
Pandemonium concludes with a hurried series of montages. The Monday Night Wars are crammed into just a few pages, and Vince's greatest triumph is almost completely glossed over. Thus, the film breaks one of Vince's own golden rules by not going out on a high, with the MLW hosts describing it as "incredibly anticlimactic."
It definitely sounds like the writers tried to cram too much story into an unsuitable format, with MLW commenting that Vince's story would be better suited to a TV series rather than a single movie. Either way, Pandemonium sounds like a wild ride through the story of a truly larger than life character, despite its many inaccuracies.
