2. The Steroid Trial

The steroid trial dominates the script's third act, but the are sown towards the end of the first. Vince convinces Hulk Hogan that he needs to bulk up and introduces him to Dr. George Zaharian, who supplies him with steroids at McMahon's behest. While this scene is unlikely to make the final cut, Vince's troubles escalate throughout the last act, as his company his hit by scandal after scandal en route to the trial.

The review claims that the script starts feeling extremely rushed at this stage, with the writers trying to cram too many details into a limited number of pages. As a result, the trial never feels as fleshed-out as it should be, and Vince is portrayed as an heroic figure scoring a victory for the working man against evil, vindictive opposition.

The actual trial was called-off when Nailz, one of the prosecution's chief witnesses, was discredited for his hatred towards McMahon. Hulk Hogan was supposed to be the trump card, meanwhile, but this plan backfired when Hogan testified that Vince had encouraged never his steroid use. McMahon was acquitted as a result, but it sounds like many of the finer details have been sacrificed.
