7. More Than One Montreal Screwjob Reference

WWE can't come to Canada without mentioning the 'Montreal Screwjob' at least once. This week, they did it twice. John Cena was first, referencing the 1997 Survivor Series during his opening promo, but even 'Super Cena' paled in comparison to what Kevin Owens had to say about the infamous incident.

Getting the Toronto crowd on side by saying nobody wanted to see another famous Canadian wrestler get screwed again by the McMahon family, KO then bizarrely claimed that Bret Hart deserved it all along. How's that for sticking it to your own country and remaining heel? Owens was on fire here.

2017 marks 20 years since Bret was controversially screwed out of the WWF Title and left for WCW, but WWE can't get stop mentioning it. Cena's felt a tad forced, whereas KO's reference was at least coming from someone Canadian, so it held more weight with the audience.
