WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Dec 27)
8. Rhyno's Glare At Heath Slater
Following a summer of success for Heath Slater's sympathetic character, the man's tag-team with Rhyno is now back in the lower card pack. Losing the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton at TLC on 4 December was the first sign of a wobble. Now, it's fairly obvious that Slater and Rhyno are heading for a split.
This isn't something WWE's creative team have really started on just yet - it's very much a story waiting in the wings to be told. Teaming together in an attempt to win back the gold they lost at the start of the month, Slater and Rhyno were part of a bumper four team elimination bout on SmackDown.
They were the first to go when Heath slipped off the top rope and was pinned by one of The Usos. Something WWE's cameras almost missed was Rhyno's despairing look towards his regular partner: a glare of resentment.
Rhyno pulled Slater from the ring and nothing more was said. Many will have missed the look, one partly obscured by Heath's own leg as he lay on the mat.
