WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (July 25)

1. Y2J Bringing His Gear Even Thought He Wasn't Scheduled To Wrestle

Chris Jericho showed up unannounced on this week's SmackDown and was almost-instantly thrust into a United States Title Triple Threat match by Shane McMahon. The announcers claimed that Y2J wasn't scheduled for the show, but Jericho showed up because he wanted revenge on Kevin Owens.

Oh, and he just so happened to have his ring gear with him. How convenient. Ask any pro wrestler and they'll repeat the same mantra: 'Always bring your gear, because you never know when you'll need it'. In a way then, it makes sense that Jericho had his G.O.A.T trunks packed just in case he was tasked with wrestling.

It's still a little out of the blue though, unless Jericho was so confident that McMahon would do his bidding and let him push in front of AJ Styles in the title hunt. That's another point right there. Why wasn't Styles more angry that Y2J had muscled in on his contractual one-on-one rematch?
