WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (July 25)

2. WWE Dropping Hints On A Shane vs. KO Match

Had Shane McMahon merely booked Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat US Title defence and moved on, it could've been passed off as usual authority figure behaviour. That wasn't the only interaction between both men on SmackDown however, because KO stormed into Shane's office demanding an explanation.

That's when things got really interesting. When both had finished saying their piece, Owens and Shane shared a stare that looked eerily like they were sowing the seeds for a future match. KO even said that if McMahon wasn't the SmackDown Commissioner then he "wouldn't give a damn about him".

Could this be a subtle hint that we're getting Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens at some point in the near future? Perhaps WWE were clueing everybody in that Shane won't be Commissioner for long and will face Owens after leaving that power position.
