There will be those disappointed that Dolph Ziggler's WWE Intercontinental Title tenure is over so soon. It was only at the No Mercy pay-per-view in early-October that Dolph bagged the belt, meaning he lasted a grand total of 37 days as champion. That's not nearly long enough to make a genuine impression as babyface champ.

Still, few can claim that The Miz doesn't deserve to be on top of the Intercontinental pile. During his previous run as champion, Miz was one of the most entertaining aspects of WWE programming. Now, he can boast about being a 6-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Scanning WWE's own lineage of the title, only Chris Jericho has won the secondary belt on more occasions (9 in total). On commentary, Mauro Ranallo stated that Miz had joined the likes of Jeff Jarrett and Rob Van Dam in hoisting the title aloft no less than 6 times.

That's a rare mention for Jarrett on WWE television, the former TNA and WCW man isn't referenced often. Given how quickly the product moves now, there's every chance Miz will someday catch Jericho's record too.
