It's a bizarre world we live in when a former TNA headliner appears on WWE television as WWE World Champion and discusses one of the worst moments in WCW history. That's exactly what happened on the latest edition of SmackDown, however such a reference would have been easily missed by those skimming through the show.

Putting over the potential for an upset in the main event, AJ theorised that Dean Ambrose could feasibly cost him the WWE World Title. This would mean that James Ellsworth, of all people, would be the next WWE Champion. Hefty use of hyperbole followed, Styles said it would be the greatest upset in promotional history.

Then, Styles started talking about a moment many longtime pro wrestling enthusiasts would likely rather forget. On the April 26 episode of WCW Thunder, David Arquette won the WCW World belt in a tag-team match. Obviously, it was not the most popular decision amongst WCW's hardcore fans and has been a running joke ever since.

Styles didn't labour his point during the SmackDown promo, which means some may not have cottoned on to what he was talking about.
