WWE SmackDown 1000: 10 Superstars Who Must Return
5. Kane
Over the years, many superstars have come and gone, but Kane has remained. In spite of some questionable storylines, the future Hall of Famer has managed to entertain the WWE Universe for over two decades — and he did a lot of that on SmackDown. A fixture of the Attitude Era, Kane appeared on the pilot episode of SmackDown and its network premiere before becoming a regular presence on the show until 2002 when the brand extension saw him drafted to Raw.
However, he returned to the blue brand in 2006, taking on young blood like MVP and Mr. Kennedy while also reuniting with his brother The Undertaker. Though he would eventually be drafted back to Raw, he returned to SmackDown in 2009 and remained there for another two years. One of his most successful runs came in 2010 when he dominated the entire roster and won the World Championship. After multiple departures and returns, The Big Red Machine recently made another unforgettable return to the blue brand to assist former partner Daniel Bryan earlier this year.
Kane has been an integral part of SmackDown's success over the years and has always been a reliable headliner when WWE needed him to be. Thus, he thoroughly deserves to be featured on the 1000th episode. Though he was recently elected Mayor of Knox County, he is still open to doing special WWE appearances — and SmackDown 1000 certainly fits the bill.
