WWE SmackDown Live!: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (3 Oct)

7. Cease & Desist

Shane McMahon Twerk
WWE Network

Led by a Cody Rhodes 'Independence Day'-inspired speech, Bullet Club were the talk of the industry yet again last week when a parody of the DX WCW Invasion grew legs of its own and hundreds of fans joined 'The American Nightmare', The Young Bucks and Marty Scurll in a march on the 25th September edition of the flagship show.

Similar to the legendary 1998 skits, little of substance actually came of the stunt, other than a cease and desist letter that aimed to stop the performers using the 'Too Sweet' gesture for their own financial gains. What that did highlight though, was that the crew had managed to grab WWE's attention. It's now they have to cope with the variety of pitfalls that can bring.

Ahead of their 'Face To Face' later in the broadcast, the company knocked together a Kevin Owens/Shane McMahon video that highlighted their feud and some of McMahon's more memorable moments. Multiple shots of one particular 'Coast-To-Coast' trash can Van Terminator aired to show off his aerial dexterity. The victim of said assault? Cody Rhodes.
