WWE Smackdown Review: 5 Things We Learned (May 25th)

2. Total Divas Is Kayfabe

We all know reality shows are mostly scripted, including Total Divas, and now it appears WWE is using the show to introduce storylines into their wrestling shows. We have already seen Summer Rae and Natalya have a bit of an issue, and now it appears that Eva Marie and Summer Rae's issues on the show are being brought to SmackDown. Summer Rae was the referee for a tag match between The Funkadactyls and the team of Nikki Bella and Eva Marie. Summer refused to count when Eva or Nikki had someone covered, but when Eva was down we saw Summer make a fast count. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9-B_PnNnGg Total Divas was originally supposed to be a backstage look at WWE with some storylines thrown in for drama, but it appears as if Total Divas is more canon to Raw and SmackDown than we previously thought it would be. There is no denying that the show gives some needed exposure to the Divas division and it's possible that cross-promoting could help the Divas become more popular. Time will tell.
