WWE Smackdown Review: 5 Things We Learned (May 31st)

5. Goldberg's WCW Streak Is In Danger (Not Really)

Bo Dallas bragged about being undefeated since debuting on the main roster before his match with Xavier Woods and he went on to extend his winning streak with a victory over the former Consequences Creed. Dallas and Woods are both skilled performers in the ring, but for some reason this match was kind of sloppy. Dallas dropkicking Woods out of the air and the Bo-Dog he used to finish the match were alright, but there seemed to be a few moments where things just didn't click between the two. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZA-G3W7udA Having Dallas tout his short win streak is a good way to get him a little heat, but he seems to be a heat magnet as it is. He only says positive things, shakes his opponent's hand after the match and tells people to reach for the stars. How can you not hate a guy like that? But seriously, it takes someone with a real talent to make a gimmick like this work. It's not easy for someone to take this kind of character and make him interesting, but it's still early in Dallas' run. He might not be able to make this gimmick last, especially if he keeps using the same vocal tone he is using at the moment. Goldberg's winning streak is safe, but WWE would be wise to have Dallas keep touting his record until someone defeats him.
