WWE Smackdown Spoilers: 7 Things You Need To Know (Nov 18th)
2. A Major Stipulation Was Added To Survivor Series
There was another promo by Triple H because he must really like hearing himself talk. This time he actually said something worthwhile by announcing a major stipulation for the Team Authority vs. Team Cena match. The stipulation is that if John Cena's team loses then all five men are fired. That means Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan and Ryback could all be fired along with Cena. A stipulation for the match was needed. If The Authority loses then they are out of power, so it makes sense that they would announce something for Cena's team if they loses. The problem is this is really lame. Saying "everybody gets fired" is such a stupid stipulation because no fan watching at home is going to believe that it will really happen. We've seen so many people get "fired" in recent years that we just laugh at the stipulation because we know those people will be brought back to television again very soon whether it's by Vince McMahon or somebody else. They could have done something different for it by saying that if Cena lost then he doesn't get a WWE Title shot as long as Brock Lesnar is WWE Champion. Since Cena has the title shot (not announced for Royal Rumble, but that's the plan) it would be a good way to make the match seem more important for him. Most of us figured that Team Cena was going to win just because it feels like the right time to end this angle with The Authority. We also know in WWE that sometimes they like to do swerves, so somebody could turn heel whether it's a guy on Cena's team or maybe Sheamus coming back. Does any sane wrestling fan ever believe firing angles? No they don't. That's why we groan when we see it. They could do something better.
