WWE Smackdown Spoilers: 7 Things You Need To Know (Nov 4th)

1. Dolph Ziggler Defeated Kane In A Steel Cage Match Main Event

Prior to the main event, Dolph Ziggler did an interview saying he wanted The Authority to be out of power and didn't care if he had to beat Kane in a cage to prove it. Triple H showed up to remind him about what happened to Randy Orton and noted that John Cena isn't there to save him. Ziggler took on Kane in a Steel Cage Match. It was a rematch from last week's Smackdown. Since the show really wasn't loaded with a lot of segments, it was probably a 15-20 minute cage mach with Kane dominating much of it. According to the report, Ziggler ended up winning by escaping the cage. At this point in his career, Kane rarely wins matches so it's not a surprise that Ziggler got the win. WWE can put Kane in main events all he wants, but we know that he's really only there to put over the younger guys. Kane's the oldest full timer in WWE that's nearly 50 years old. Since WWE has invested so much in him over the past 17 years they're going to keep using him as much as they can. As for Ziggler, it's a good win to give him some momentum. He's going to be a part of Team Cena at Survivor Series. It's nice to see him in television main event again because he really wasn't booked that well earlier this year. If this angle makes Ziggler a bigger star then that's awesome. That's it for this week's Smackdown.
