Former WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso was arrested in Detroit on Wednesday.

According to a writeup from TMZ, the car Uso was travelling in was pulled over because his wife, Naomi, was driving the wrong way up a one-way street. The officers reportedly smelled alcohol on the couple, so they asked that Naomi step out of the vehicle, sparking a confrontation with Jimmy.

TMZ claim that Uso ignored several direct commands from the police and took off his jacket and shirt as if he wanted to fight. One officer then pulled out a taser, though Jimmy calmed himself down and eventually complied. He was then handcuffed, arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction, then taken to an undisclosed Detroit jail, though he has since posted bond.

WWE have issued the following statement to the Wrestling Observer:-

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

This is identical to the one they put out when Jimmy's brother, Jey, was arrested on DWI charges in January 2018.

The Usos are set to face WWE SmackDown Champions Shane McMahon and The Miz at this Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. There's no word on the match's status after Jimmy's arrest, but Jey's 2018 transgressions didn't hinder his push in any way, so there's little reason to even speculate.
