Becky Lynch just lost her first televised match since 2019 on Friday's episode of SmackDown.

The reigning SmackDown Women's Champion stared at the lights for fellow comeback queen Sasha Banks in the show's main event. Bianca Belair, who will soon depart for Raw post-Crown Jewel, whipped 'Big Time Becks' with her hair to set up the shock result.

Some will argue that Banks beating Lynch isn't some huge shocker, but that was Becky's first televised defeat since the TLC 2019 pay-per-view. There, she and Charlotte Flair did the honours for the Kabuki Warriors tandem of Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Since then, Lynch has only jobbed on house shows or in post-show dark match main events after SmackDown's cameras have stopped rolling - she also went to a non-finish with Belair back at Extreme Rules too.

Of course, Becky did take some lengthy time off last year. She was on maternity leave to have her baby, then returned at SummerSlam to take the belt from Bianca. This TV loss was also WWE's way of adding doubt to the upcoming three-way at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia next week.
