Long-term WWE absentee Aleister Black hit Instagram to post a cryptic message over the weekend.

In his first upload to the platform since January, Black posted the following image:-

It was accompanied by the following caption:-

Let us sit face to face soon. I will have many stories to tell, all of them in full color.

Interesting timing, here, considering SmackDown's Murphy posted the following on Twitter one day earlier:-

Black has been absent from WWE television since October 2020. Losing a No Disqualification match to Kevin Owens on Raw the same night he was sent to SmackDown in that year's WWE Draft, the Dutchman is yet to appear for his new brand.

Dave Meltzer has theorised that Black may have lost his push as a result of Paul Heyman's removal from his old position as Raw Executive Director. Heyman was a noted fan of Black, Andrade, Murphy, and other wrestlers whose screentime diminished when Bruce Prichard replaced him in 2020.

It was reported last week that Black has been recovering from some minor injuries during his time away from television. On top of this, he has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center over the past few weeks, though there is no word on when, exactly, he may return.
