WWE Sting Into The Light Review: 10 Insights You Need To Know

7. Early Days And Road Buddies

The Sting who broke into the business was so different to the one we now know. For one, he looks to be roided to the max on footage included here. He has actually confirmed he abused steroids in other interviews. You can tell - he's massive in early footage with The Ultimate Warrior. The DVD features several clips of their early work, with Jerry Jarrett saying that he told them "You'll never make a dollar." You can see why he thought that. They were two big green guys, only able to do press slams. Eventually, Sting changed his look, and started to get over. He named himself Stinger, but for some reason people always called him Sting. His travelling buddy in this period was Rick Steiner, who comments "We were a couple of young muscled up kids trying to find our way through it."
