WWE Stomping Grounds: 10 Things That Must Happen

10. Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet Goes On First

Forget the fact that it's a little slapdash and likely won't lead to a full-blown feud for a minute, because Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet is the kind of match folks should salivate over. If this was happening in AEW, New Japan or somewhere on the indys, it'd be met with the kind of Meltzer-led acclaim that's bursting with stars before it even happens.

Give WWE some credit for booking this, they deserve it.

If it goes on first, well, wear a bib. There's bound to be drool everywhere when Joe shuts down Ricochet's high-flying offensive flurry with some cynical strikes, and people will marvel as Rico then bounces back to do that amazing 630. One suggestion for these guys: find a way to turn that aerial finish into the Coquina Clutch. That's money.

Joe's US Title reign will only mean something again if he's booked to convincingly beat babyfaces the fans like seeing. Ricochet falls into that camp, and he wouldn't shed likeability by losing either. This is the kind of match made to open pay-per-views.
