WWE Stomping Grounds 2019: 10 Results Predictions

6. It'll Be One Of Them

Sunday's clash between The New Day and 'Kami' is one of only two matches on the first (and probably last) Stomping Grounds card which isn't being contested for a title. That speaks volumes of the current creative bankruptcy plaguing the company, in which spangly props are used as a crutch for an overworked and largely bereft writing team.

Ironically, despite the lack of championship context, it'll probably be the best match on the show. As established, all roads lead to gold in WWE at present, and though it's not clear exactly how Owens and Zayn can transition into the current tag team title scene as heels, they'd be a considerable asset in either. That can start with a win tonight.

Prediction: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, because why not.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
