Guys like The Rock and Triple H had the upper hand in their careers because not only were they complete packages as talent, but their careers progressed alongside technology. The evolution of social media and the internet became an intricate part in expanding their opportunities and recognition outside of the squared circle. As online communication and publications grew, so did their legends. In 1998, The Rock's mainstream entertainment career was on the up. In a few short years he'd be firmly established there. Triple H and The Rock would go on to do battle for years to come after this match and the timing of their career growth was perfect.
