The biggest reason to believe Bryan vs Lesnar is planned for SummerSlam is because those with their ear to the ground have reported it as so. The Wrestling Observer stated in April that Lesnar wouldn't be back in WWE until the August show. Dave Meltzer went on to speculate that Lesnar would be coming in to face Bryan for the WWE Championship at the event. Considering Meltzer's insider status, his prediction of Bryan vs Lesnar should be taken as a good indicator of what could be coming. Maybe he heard from someone inside WWE that it was the direction the company were taking. It wouldn't be the first time a backstage feeling has been represented in Meltzer's speculation. Alternatively,it could just be his own opinion, but either way, given his years of experience and knowledge, Meltzer has a pretty good judgement for what is going on. The idea that SummerSlam 2014 will be headlined by Brock vs Bryan is something which has since resounded around the internet wrestling community. Other sites and forums are now talking about Brock vs Bryan based off of Meltzer's report, he has been wrong in the past, but more often than not his words prove accurate.
