WWE SummerSlam 2015: 10 Things We Learned

9. Roman Reigns Needs Rebuilding

It's not exactly shocking news to learn that Roman Reigns is struggling as a babyface. The man does have his supporters, that's obvious, but he's suffering from an 'uncool' vibe at the moment. Worse yet, it's directly affecting some of those around him. Dean Ambrose was the main recipient of this at SummerSlam. Teaming together to face Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, Ambrose and Reigns didn't really feel like a naturally popular duo. Going further, Ambrose appears more popular standing on his own merits, rather than being associated with Reigns. Fans clearly like Dean, but the best buddy act with Roman is killing his buzz a little. That came across loud and clear on the Pay-Per-View. What was learned during this particular tag-team bout is that Roman Reigns badly needs repackaged. A heel turn would be the most obvious route to take. Fans aren't getting behind him the same way they were when he was a bad guy, and his cheesy, post-match smiles don't help. People want that ass-kicking renegade back again. He needs rebuilt from the ground up, because he's floundering badly as a face.
